This collection contains a letter from Enrique Hamburger narrating the history of the Chemnitz community, which includes lists of all rabbis, cantors, and other notable community functionaries from 1867-1838. A few photographs show the synagogue both before the November pogrom and its ruins therafter. Finally, there is an inventory of the community's property compiled by former community head (Gemeindevorsteher) Josef Kahn after the second World War, as well as a photocopied letter from the mayor of Chemnitz to Kahn (1938)
